The collector is a retired architect, an avid traveler, and an art enthusiast. He received his master’s degree in architecture in 1980 and has visited many of the world’s leading galleries and museums. In addition to his passion for art, he is also an accomplished sportsman — a member of the Seven Continents Marathon Club — and has completed Ironman Triathlon races on six continents.

During the 1980s, he studied Chinese painting under the renowned artist E-den Mok and acquired several works from Mok, some of which are included in this auction.
