The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall in good order and appearance, very attractive, structurally sound and ready to use. The lower cabinet base has a shelf which slots in, although it is not shown in the online catalogue photographs. As stated in the cataloguing, the cresting/ cornice is associated which is evidenced by the mechanical saw marks to the reverse. It formerly had finials evidenced by the holes to either side of the cornice. Otherwise it is a handsome and useful cabinet, the timber is very lovely. It has the inevitable general overall marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. The veneers with minor areas of losses and signs of infill and restorations.
