The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

It is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition. The work is structurally sound and stable. Cracks scatter across the surface of the work and are occasionally associated with surface material losses. Minor dents present occasionally across the surface of the work and mainly along the inner side of the arch and the lower half of the work. Upon close inspection, a few faint abrasion marks associated with discoloration scatter mainly on the right end of the work. Dust is present mainly on the joint area. Minor fiber accretion inside the gap on the lower right of the front of the work. Glue residue on the lower right and the lower left of the front which is studio-related. Other texture variations and irregularities are assumed to be consistent with artist’s chosen material and working methods. When inspected under UV light, no apparent retouching shown.
