The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition good. Minor signs of wear. Clasp secure. One link to the clasp split (open, not soldered shut like the other links), but secure.
- Additional marks: French assay marks for gold, 750, maker's mark 'G chamois head F' for Gay Frères, ©.
- Lapis lazuli: with typical appearance, including visible pyrite, in very good condition overall, a few small scratches.
