The present lot is a later issue of the original from the famed 'About Time' collection. In 1969, Andrew Grima created a series of watches in collaboration with Omega, using slices of precious and semi-precious gemstones as the watch crystal and a dial free from logos and numerals. The collection was launched at Goldsmiths Hall in 1970 and immediately caused a sensation. Later versions of the collection were issued in the late 1980s as part of a limited run.
