The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
- Overall condition good. Scratches and nicks to the metal throughout, consistent with normal wear. Evidence of solder. Clip fittings with good tension. Evidence of adaptation to the fittings; it appears that the earrings were previously fitted with post and clip fittings, posts now deficient.
- Additional marks: Italian 750 marks, maker's marks 'star 150 ROMA' for Ubaldo de Crescenzi.
- Rubies: with numerous typical inclusions, a few surface reaching, scratches and nicks throughout, a few examples with more prominent nicks.
- Sapphires: with a few typical inclusions.
- Diamonds: total weight approximately 2.00 - 2.20 carats.
