The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- The neck has been broken and mounted with a copper ring.
- A section of the mouth rim has been broken and reglued, with some losses along the breaks.
- The body has been pierced on the lower section of the vase and the hole has been filled-in.
- There are some surface scratches, some of them deep.
- There are some areas of wear and abrasions.
- There are a few glaze faults.
- There are some firing cracks, mainly under the base.
- There are some traces of glue under the base.
The vase with general age-related surface wear as can be expected.
