The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The edges are slightly deckled. The paper shows sign of discoloration. Faint creases, mostly to the edges and corners. Faint foxing and handling marks occasionally on the surface. On the reverse, the condition is consistent with the aforementioned condition observed on the front. Faint traces of paper consolidation to the corners and to the lower edge. Cappellin's seal and reference number 286. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
