The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the sheet with pale time-staining and pinpoint foxspots, predominantly at the sheet edges.
- handling creases in the sheet (mainly visible in a raking light).
- handling marks and remains of adhesive verso, not showing through recto.
- remains of paper tape at the lower left and right sheet edges verso.
- remains of adhesive from old hinges and associated skinning at the left sheet edge verso, not showing recto.
- hinged with paper tape along the upper left and right sheet edges verso.
