Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The sheet is hinged in places on the reverse to its underlying support and the edges undulate slightly. There is a minute crease to the upper left corner with associated lifting. There is another spot of minute lifting to the lower left corner, presumably in keeping with the artist's chosen medium. There is a pinpoint paint loss to the lower right corner. There is a pinpoint accretion to the upper left quadrant, presumably studio related. There is a hairline irregularity in the lower left quadrant, presumably inherent to the artist's chosen medium. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
