The canvas is wax-lined. Wear and pinpoint accretions are to the corner and edges, not visible when framed. Areas of faintly raised cracking and losses are scattered throughout. A tiny spot of lifting is near the upper right horizontal edge. Under ultraviolet and ambient light, spots of inpainting are visibleto the areas of loss, most notably to the lower right quadrant and the right figure's face.
