- Overall condition very good. Some small scratches to the metal, consistent with normal wear. Case with minor signs of wear.
- Gem-set slide adjusters allowing for the necklace to be worn at varying lengths.
- Paws and tail articulate.
- Additional marks: French assay marks for platinum, PT950, signed © Cartier in three places, hoop and lower slide numbered, top slide numbered differently and with maker's mark 'A Ste shackle F' for Alain Foubert.
- Onyx: in good condition overall, small scratches to the hoop throughout.
- Diamonds: total stated weight approximately 5.24 carats.
- Rubies: with typical inclusions, a few small scratches.
- Emeralds: with typical inclusions.
- Silk cord: in very good condition.
- Cartier: valuation of insurance dated 2008 (£106,000) and certificate for insurance dated 2024 (£163,000).
