Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas, stretcher and attachment are in generally good condition. There is some slight canvas draw to the corners. There is a horizontal indent, with some associated minor losses to the upper left horizontal edge. The work is slightly discoloured. There is paper tape along the turnover and extreme edges. There is some soft surface soiling. There is a minor loss along the lower right horizontal edge. There are surface irregularities in places, coherent with the artist's working process. Examination under ultra violet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
