The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The sheets are partly laid down onto supporting sheets of paper, and tabbed onto acidic boards, from which we would advise removal. All show surface dirt, and some light discolouration to the paper. There are some spots of foxing and some staining to the sheets in places. There are some light creases and handling marks, including a diagonal crease measuring approximately 17cm to the upper right corner of the 'Fat Highland Ox', and a horizontal crease measuring approximately 27cm to the lower edge of the 'Alderney Ox'. There is a horizontal tear, measuring approximately 6.5cm, to the 'Highland Cow', emanating from the centre of the left edge. The medium is generally strong. Subject to the above, the works appear to be in good overall condition.
