the letting go of: There are two accretions visible along the upper edge of the canvas. A faint abrasions is visible to the right of 'the' and at the lower left edge. A rub is visible in the lower right corner and pinpoint accretions are visible in the lower left and lower right quadrants. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
