The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work has not been examined unframed. Very minor wear and a few faint scuffs are occasional to the artist's chosen frame. Minor wear, slight rubbing and ultrafine tension cracking is occasional to the corner-tips and edges. A tiny loss is to the lower right corner in a black painted passage. A few hairline cracks are occasional to the areas of heavier paint application and a few passages of drying cracks are occasional to the black painted passages. A small spot of compressed media, with an associated clear adhesive accretion is to the lower right edge, presumably a vestige of prior restoration. Compressed impasto peaks are infrequent. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
