The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

L’œuvre est sur sa toile d’origine. La surface est très légèrement encrassée et poussiéreuse. Quelques très fines craquelures de séchage sont visibles, principalement sur le buste. Des points d’accrétion sont visibles par endroits sur la surface. Examinée à la lumière UV : pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

The work is not lined. The surface is slightly dirty and dusty. A few hairline drying cracks are visible, mostly on the torso. Small pinpoint accretions are visible in places to the surface. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
