The bejewelled reference. 5971 is the more ostentatious sibling of the modern classic Ref. 5971 as it combines a haute horology complication with luxurious diamonds. This particular platinum version is set with 36 baguette diamonds (4 carats in total) on the bezel and features a perpetual calendar, chronograph and moon-phase with day/night indication. It is powered by Cal. CH 27-70Q, considered by many connoisseurs to be the epitome of classic column wheel chronograph engineering. Testimony to the prestige of this timepiece is that Patek Philippe considers the Reference 5971 as their only Haute Joaillerie watch in the Grand Complications category.
