The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the corner-tips and periodically along the edges. The sheet has shifted slightly in tone. The lower edge of the sheet is slightly deckled and the upper, left and right edges are unevenly cut. Very fine creases are to the upper right and lower left corner-tips and areas of skinning are occasionally to the edges, most notably to the upper left edge. Handling marks and an area of adhesive residue are near the lower register of the sheet, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. A faint scuff is to the upper left quadrant and two pinpoint accretions are near the lower left quadrant. Visible under ultraviolet light, time staining is near center. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
