Manolo (Manuel MartÍnez Hugué) (1872-1945) was a Catalan Spanish sculptor in the noucentisme movement of the early 20th century. He was friends with Pablo Picasso while his style was much closer to that of the French sculptor, Aristide Maillol. He held a constant concern for rational simplification from the different styles that inspired him and remained within the bounds of figuration contrary to cubist artists.
