The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is in good condition with normal signs of wear and is full. The case has been lightly polished and is slightly uneven at the lugs. The numbers are crisp between the lugs. The back of the lugs have scratches from the spring bars. The case back is in good condition with normal signs of wear throughout. It appears there was an engraving polished out of the center of the case back. The inside case back is stamped '5512' and 'III.62' indicating its production in the third quarter of 1962. The crown and bezel insert are original. The bezel insert has faded slightly to a dark grey color. The pip appears to possibly be replaced. The dial shows signs of wear and age, and appears to be original. It has become 'tropical' throughout most of it. The luminous hour markers have darkened with age. The hands have developed a light patina and the lume in them has darkened with age. The minute hand lume has a crack running through the middle of it. The end links are marked '380' and the bracelet '9315.' The bracelet is a later replacement. The clasp is an even later replacement. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
