We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- The robe has been altered, including truncation/shortening to the hem and outer borders
- There are few light staining, and the colour fading to the front, consistent with age and light exposure
- There are expected seam separations, including to the shoulders, collar, side splits, and interior lining, some have been repaired or with associated minor losses to the threads
- The sleeves and buttons have been replaced, as can be expected; one sleeve is slightly separated along the join
