The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
One:
- Jar has two polished chips to the mouth rim, and a firing crack and a glaze line to the interior of the body
- Cover has a firing crack to the joint area of the knob, and some glaze flakes to the foliate rim
- There are a few minor burst glaze bubbles and surface pitting to the jar and the cover

The other:
- Jar has glaze flakes to the mouth rim, some of which have been polished
- Cover has a short firing crack on the interior and some glaze flakes to the foliate rim
- There are some burst glaze bubbles and short firing cracks to both jar and cover
