We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired since its initial manufacture.
- there are some areas of loss and splitting to the brocade, especially to the proper right armpit as can be expected, the robe has been later tailored and the sleeve extensions, facing and lining are not original
- the robe is slightly faded
- there is some puckering to the hem due to tailoring the buttons and button loops are likely replaced
- there are a few black stains which are not easily discernible
