The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In overall good condition, structurally sound and ready to use, with the inevitable dents, scratches and wear consistent with the age and use. One marble top with a repaired break. The painted and gilt surfaces slightly rubbed with few small losses overall. Minor separation to the joints, some small areas of painting and gilding refreshments. Traces of an earlier pale green scheme. One commode with a vertical shrinkage crack on each side, the other one with restored shrinkage crack on each side. Handles apparently original. With a Sotheby’s tag: 102/2 13 DEC 1996, and a ACCORSI PIETRO ANTICHITA label numbered 249.
