The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work has not been examined unframed. Minor wear and some losses are occasional to the corner-tips and turning edges. Visible under close inspection, a few fine hairline cracks are along the left and right extreme edges and upper right corner. Slight rubbing and pinpoint accretions are occasional to the canvas and drip accretions are to the lower register. Visible under close inspection, a small network of drying cracks are to the lower right quadrant in a dark red painted passage. Visible under ultraviolet light, small areas fluoresce along the extreme edges, possibly varnish. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
