The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The board is slightly bowed. Frame abrasion along the extreme edges. A few pindot paint losses scattered in the lower register, including one in the sail. Under ultraviolet light, inpainting scattered along the edges, most notably at left and right. An approximately one-and-a-half inch diagonal line of inpainting in the water at lower center. Small spots, dots and dashes of inpainting scattered in the sails and sky, most notably at upper center and upper left, and a few elsewhere. Uneven, discolored varnish.
