Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The work is structurally sound. A fine layer of surface dust is present. Slight discoloration is to the painted board. Tiny nicks and a few faint surface scratches and scuffs are to the artist's frame. Wear and small losses are to the edges of the board and inner frame, most notably to the lower right corner. A few hairline cracks are near the lower edge of the board. Surface variation, including occasional pinholes, intermittent spots of paint loss, hairline abrasions, wear to the steel elements, and areas of discoloration and slight creasing to the collaged elements are presumably in keeping with the artist's working method and choice of medium. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
