The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work has not been examined unframed. The canvas is slightly slack. Faint horizontal and vertical stretcher bar impressions are visible. Very minor wear is to the corners, and a few faint rubs are to the turning edges. A few soft scuffs are intermittently to the black. A fine drying crack is to a brown impasto peak in the left register, just above center. Two drip accretions are to the lower left quadrant. There is no apparent inpainting under ultraviolet light.
