The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case has light scratches throughout. There is a small nick to the side of the case at 2 o'clock. The case has been lightly polished. The tips of the lugs at 1 and 11 o'clock each have a nick to them. The reference number is only partially visible between the lugs and the serial number is mostly visible, but part of the second half of it is rubbed. The hallmark is visible to the back of the lug at 1 o'clock. The backs of the lugs have scratches and show evidence of the bracelet. The case back appears to have had an engraving at one point that has since been polished out. The inside of the case back is stamped '1601,' and has watchmaker's marks. The bezel is in good condition with small nicks. The dial is in good condition and appears to have been relumed. The plots at 2, 6, 7, and 10 o'clock have deteriorated. The coronet, hour markers, and hands have developed patina. The hands appear to be service replacements. The date changes as the hands pass midnight. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is required.
