The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The work is structurally sound. Some elements appear to have become detached, including a vine, a clay component and losses to the hand elements. There is rubbing and minor abrasions in places, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. There are some cracks and minor losses to the mirrored elements of the work, predominantly in keeping with the artist's working method. There are some accretions and minor rubbing with associated losses to the extreme edges of the plinth. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in fair condition.
