Each dish is decorated with a lady and a boy surrounded by a moulded petal-form cavetto and rim.
Other examples of Kangxi period blue and white porcelain decorated with ladies and plants and with qi yu tang zhi marks to the base include a cup and a saucer formerly in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, sold at Christie's New York, 13-22 September 2016, lot 1885.
