The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after its initial manufacture.
- hairpin: appears to be in overall good condition, expected areas of calcification
- bi: small nicks to edges
- pendant: knock with associated crack and small loss to the top edge, expected minor nicks
- cicada: expected wear and minor surface losses to the underside
- fish pendant: small nicks to the top fin, two areas of polishing and recarving to the tail on both sides, chip to the top of the tail
