Details
The vase is finely decorated with a network of various butterflies in flight, reserved on an intricate blue sgraffiato floral ground. It is decorated to the bulbous lower section with a sash tied in a ribbon to the centre, enamelled in iron-red and gilt with various medallions amongst stylised clouds. The circular stand is supported on five raised feet and is painted in gilt with floral motifs and ruyi-heads below stylised scrolls, all reserved on a brown ground, the base with an apocryphal Qianlong mark.
