Details
The vase is decorated to either side of the body with a roundel enclosing birds amongst peonies, surrounded by the twelve zodiac animals in gilt, all reserved on a gilt and lavender scrolling foliate ground. It is applied to the neck with a pair of animal-head loop handles. The base is impressed with an apocryphal Qianlong mark.
