The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- There are a small number of spots of very slight discolouration on the paper surface, the largest measuring max. approx. 3.6 cm.
- There is a patch of very slight discolouration on the top right corner of the mount measuring max. approx. 5 cm by 5 cm.
- There are small losses from the paper of the title slip on the exterior of the scroll, measuring max. approx. 1 cm by 0.9 cm.
- There is a label on the exterior of the scroll, reading: wenwu shangdian (文物商店).
