The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
First:
-The vase appears to be in overall good condition except one minor kiln grit adhesion to the foot.
Second:
-There is a restored crack extending from the mouth rim to the neck with associated overpainting.
-There are areas of restoration with associated overpainting on the mouth.
-There are a few areas of abrasion.
-There are a few nicks to the foot.
- there is overpainting to the chilong decoration on the neck.
Third:
-There is expected wear to the surface.
-There are a few polished chips and firing flaws to the foot.
Fourth:
-There is expected wear to the surface.
-There is a chip and a few minor nicks to the foot.
- some minor scratches on the surface
