The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Rooftiles:
-appear to be in overall good condition for their age except some surface wear and minor losses to glazes.
- one tile with an area of overpainting on one side

Figure:
-There are wear and losses to the glazes.
-There are small areas of abrasion.
-There is a small chip to the ox's lip.
-There are cracks to the glaze where the feet of ox meet the base.
-There are cracks to the base.
- There are areas of overpainting and touch ups.
