Details
The largest charger is decorated to the centre with a scene and a poetic verse taken from 'The Romance of the Western Chamber', Xixiangji, below a band with six shou-character cartouches reserved on a geometric ground to the mouth rim. The other two chargers are similarly decorated with narrative scenes.
The larger, 1538 in. (39 cm.) diam.

Acquired by the current vendor's father in Europe in the early 20th Century.
