The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The smaller wine pot:
-There are a few short glaze lines to the joint area of the handle to the body.
The larger wine pot:
-The handle has an old restoration and has been off and re-stuck with associated hairline cracks.
-There is a glaze line to the joint area of the spot to the body.
Both:
-There are some shallow chips and glaze frits throughout to the pots and the covers.
-Each base has a handwritten number in green-pigments and a paper label.
-There are some general age-related surface wear and scratches, as may be expected.
