The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The first:
-There are some traces of red ink to the body.
-There are some nicks to the extremities, light pitting to the surface, and areas of abrasions.
-The broomstick and the figure's right hand is reduced.
-The stone has some natural fissures and vines.
The second:
-There is an indentation to the top of the fish and an area of polishing/recarving to the fish's head.
-There are some nicks and shallow chips to the extremities and areas of abrasion.
-The stone has some natural fissures and vines.
The third:
-There are some nicks to the extremities and areas of abrasions.
-The stone has some natural fissures and inclusions.
