The mythical beast is shown standing foursquare with its head turned upward and its single horn resting on the back of its neck. The backbone and ribs are finely carved and the bifurcated tail rests neatly beside the hind legs. The stone is of a mottled pale grey tone with areas of rich dark brown inclusions.
