The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall with light wear. Some with nicks, frits, tiny chips and scattered imperfections in the making, as to be expected. Each examined under ultraviolet light.
A pair of chargers – One with a very small rim chip, the other with two small rim chips.
One shaped-oval platter – With a few small lines to the center of the well. With an imperfection in the making to the upper right area of the well, and with associated loss to the enamel.
A pair of octagonal plates with shaped edges – One cracked through the plate with staple-repairs to the reverse and with scattered enamel losses.
A pair of large plates – Both staple-repaired to the reverse.
One hot-milk jug and cover – The cover’s finial replaced. With a very small flat enamel flake to the top of the handle. The spout with some fritting and very tiny losses.
Fourteen scalloped soup plates – Several with rim lines and with repaired rim losses with associated overpaint. Several with staple-repairs to the reverse rims and wells.
Eleven round soup plates– Several with rim lines. One with a restored rim crack at 10 o’clock. One with staple-repairs to its reverse. One with a rim chip issuing a crack extending into the well. One with a rim chip at 1 o’clock.
Eight scalloped dinner plates – Several plates with small areas of overpaint, particularly to the rim, possibly covering restoration. One staple-repaired to its underside. One with rim chip at 4 o’clock issuing a line and with a staple-repaired crack to its reverse rim.
Thirteen round dinner plates – Several with rim lines and lines to the well. One with a small rim chip at 10 o’clock, another with a rim chip at 11 o’clock, both with overpaint. Two with staple-repaired cracks to the reverse rim.
