The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In sound, decorative condition. With the expected scattered light nicks, marks and scratches. With some wear to the leather and some sunfading to the color. One area with slightly more significant wear and possibly replaced around the locking mechanism, approximately 3 in. x 3 in. The gilt decoration with some rubbing in areas. The leather dry and flaking slightly in areas. With some scattered staining, all as to be expected with age and use. The silk lining appears to be original and with some scattered light staining.
