The far side of the Moon, not visible from anywhere on Earth, bears a more rugged landscape peppered with impact craters. The lunar crater Tsiolkovsky (ii), named after Soviet rocket scientist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, measures approximately 112 miles in diameter with an inner peak 2 miles high.
