The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Each with surface wear and wear to the enamels and gilt decoration, with a few scattered imperfections in the making; the single example in overall well-maintained condition; one of the pair slightly smaller (8³⁄₄ in. diameter) and with the gilt decoration refreshed in scattered areas; the other with scattered tiny chips to the underside of the rim and an approx. 2¹⁄₂ in. rim line at 6 o'clock. Each examined under ultraviolet light.
