The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The majority of the pile is in good condition, remaining well above the knot collar. There are some areas where the pile is a little lower and the foundation is visible in places. There is one small area of re-piling in one corner of the field although this is not immediately visible from the face of the carpet. The selvages are both original and secure. One end has been tucked under, secured and backed. The other end has the original fringes and has been secured with a blanket stitch. There is a small label stitched to the reveres of one corner. Overall this carpet is in good condition.
