The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
This open bookcase is in quite good condition overall. There are the inevitable minor scratches, abrasions, and scuffs overall consistent with age and use. As stated in the cataloguing this bookcase has been adapted from hanging shelves. The back boards are later. There are some historic stains to the shelves. There are what apparently seems to be plugged holes to the front of the shelves suggesting that there was a gallery to each shelf. There are a small number of vertical shrinkage splits to either ends. There is some wear to the feet. Feet later. Overall, presents well.
