The support is stable. Minor frame abrasion to the extreme edges. Two minor losses to the board at the extreme lower edge and one small loss at the extreme right edge. Minor surface soiling. A series of very small nails to the extreme edges securing the support to the stretcher, not visible when framed. Examined under ultraviolet light. The canvas with scattered short strokes of inpainting, primarily to the background and some to the book. Please note that Christie's does not guarantee the condition of frames.
