The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Not examined out of frame. Support is stable. Minor frame abrasion to the extreme edges. Minor surface soiling. The support has been adhered to a stretcher. Examined under ultraviolet light. A few short strokes of inpainting, primarily to the shadow of the figure. Please note that Christie's does guarantee the condition of frames.
